First job was in Chicago working on cool products. The second was in northern Utah for a small startup. The guy at the startup told be I'd get more experience than at a larger, more established company and they didn't answer to anyone because they were privately owned blah blah blah. I picked the smaller group.
Anyways, a month later a bunch of lawyers and accountants showed up in the conference room. He sold the brand after two months and lots of us got canned.
I don't fault the guy for building a brand and then selling it. I fault him because he did the ol bait and switch. He needed someone in the short term and I passed up a good opportunity based on a false portrayal of the company's future.
