That’s not proof he was underutilized. Many games he was our leading receiver.
In many games they had him boxed (double teamed).
He was great, he will be missed, he wasn’t underutilized

Especially last season. What were the coaches thinking?!

That shows that he was talented, not underutilized

He was though.

How many targets? What was the defense doing?

He was also double covered A LOT

In '19, Bushman was targeted 75 times. 63 of them came in 7 games - which is a TON of "utilization."

Iirc he either led the team in recs, or rec yds, all 3 yrs.

Woefully unsupported conclusion there.

What's really amazing about last year is how amazing Rex was, and how much most of us forgot about the loss of Bushman.

So great when fans point out how under-utilized future pros were

I recently heard Chad Lewis tell a crowd had Bushman not gotten hurt he was the #1 TE in the country haha.

I believe what Chad said. Bushman would have been great this past year.

He’s someone you can trust for that judgment but you can’t since Matt is his

Any other year, I could buy that, but Pitts is a monster.

Just for kicks - here's some stats

Fair enough. I guess I still have a sour taste in my mouth when he only had 46 targets in 2018. He did have 75 in 2019

Didn't other teams start doubling up on him? That was my understanding.

I thought Holker took a number of his targets in 2018. FYI...Holker will be good

Holker already is/was good no doubt, but

How is that a demonstration of underutilization?

Definitely was woefully underutilized his sophomore year.

If he was targeted more I'm sure his yds per catch average would go down.

Grimes, for all the good things he did, failed to leverage Bushman as well as he
