IMO it’s not good for the hobby, it’s ruining the fun of it and you have all
Kinds of greedy people that could care less about the fun of card collecting looking for the quick money grab.

It’s been sad to see that a kid can’t walk into a target or Walmart with his parents and buy a pack of cards to hope to get that elusive mike trout.

Because an older guy waited in line with there wife, there 2 daughters, his 3 sisters, and they all capped out there 3 card items each. Then he turned around and sold it online, or in breaks, for 2-5x as much. I’m not exaggerating, I’ve literally seen this at a target and all I wanted to get was a 3.00 pack for one of my boys that this guy turned around and sold at market value for 5.00

I’ve got tens of thousands of cards, so I let my boys play with my commons, but I hate what it’s turned to and they can’t experience it the way I did as a kid.

I think the bubble will break at some point, and we are headed towards another junk wax era.
