It's a very good list to select from. Makes me think what a shame that...
Jimmy Hendrix and Jim Morrisons, time creating music was so short-lived. And that Cream (Clapton, Bruce, Baker) didn't stick together longer.
And as far as rock bands, we need to give a shout out to Deep Purple, AC/DC, and Black Sabbath, and in honor of Southern Rock, Lynyrd Skynyrd, And the Allman Brothers.
Also going old old school, The Kinks for for their influence on later bands...
