How can my son improve his ACT score?

He took the test about a month ago, and without studying, he got a 33.

He's wanting to take it again in July, and he obviously wants to do better.

Anybody on here had a child that got a high score, and then took it again and got higher? If so, how did they study?

Retake it a few times. All of my sons improved. He could get a 36 on math.

I would say this is generally true but it depends on what he missed and why.

If that is the case, it would be worth it to hire a private tutor. There are strategies that can really help.

In 2006 it was a hard requirement. I'm not sure what they do now.

It's not hearsay. BYU has published some guidelines, and that was on there. I currently have 3 kids at BYU

You need a 34 for scholarships at BYU. That's why it makes a difference.

I would just try doing lots of practice exams first.

Courses are geared for kids scoring much lower than yours. Private tutor is the way.
