The real money is about ratings and attendance, not the size of the TV market. Nebraska is more valuable to the B1G than Rutgers, despite being in the Omaha TV market that is literally 5% the size of the NYC TV market. Who are casual college football fans in Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago and Los Angeles more likely to watch? Nebraska or Rutgers?
