Auburn has a Title in football and another appearance in the title game in the
last decade. They have a Heisman winner from 2010. They are as relevant as anyone in CFB not named Bama, Clemson, Notre Dame, or Ohio State.
They played in and won perhaps the most memorable and iconic college football game ever only a few short years ago.
They were recently in the Final 4 in hoops. I think there's a good argument for their inclusion.
Then again, look at my icon. I'm probably biased. I'm looking at your icon and wondering if there's a chance you might be biased too 🙂
