With Portland's loss tonight, I think the top 5 in the west will stay as they are. 2/3 might flip, and 4/5 might, but neither of those would significantly impact the playoff picture. So, should the Jazz try to stay #1 or tank for #2?

Arguments for #1:
* Tanking sucks
* We want the Jazz to be playing their best going into the playoffs
* Being #1 is a confidence boost, and a great achievement regardless of the playoff picture

Arguments for #2:
* First round is likely similar either way. In fact, I'd argue #2 is more favorable because there isn't a chance of going against a hot 9/10 team that just won two games in a row to get the #8 seed.
* Avoids second round against the (probably healthy) Lakers. I'd much rather the Jazz take on the Suns or Clippers.
* The Jazz can rest players down the stretch.
