We can just be honest and say he wasn't a "really good QB." He just wasn't at BYU. The reasons don't really matter. Other players get hurt by coaches, schemes, e.t.c as well. There's no point in trying to argue what he could have developed into. He just didn't. You made plenty of excuses but didn't address any weakness at all, of which he had plenty as a passer and decision maker. Doesn't really matter.
And yes, it's unfortunate he played at the time he did. But it is what it is and he regressed as a senior. I said it then but I also advocated for Wilson as much as anyone, so I don't fit in the camp you're talking about.
