I watched numerous games where Taysom consistently threw behind the receiver. It didn't make much difference what route was being run.

I don't blame that on lack of talent. He spent four off-seasons recovering from season ending injuries. Not being able to fully train and having multiple OCs during that time was bound to cause a negative impact.

Missing off-season training, spring practices, fall camp, etc. makes a huge difference. Timing and accuracy are developed through repetition, not standing on the sideline in a cast, holding a clipboard, while watching teammates practice.

It is easy to discount the effect of those numerous injuries by blaming the receivers or Taysom.

Imagine what his BYU career could have been like with only one season ending injury... We definitely wouldn't be having this conversation.
