Division winner would get a spot. Basically 10 teams plus ND in every year. Then the 5 next highest ranked. SEC would live that rather than knocking their own people out they would be paired up against G5’teams half the time or third place teams in P5 conferences. It could be a recipe for the national championship to be an all SEC deal more often than not. Not sure how the fans would like that

That could spur another round of realignment as a division right now must have a minimum of 6 teams. SEC B10 and ACC I think have 7 each. ACC might not with the ND mess. But the B12 would need two or more and the PAaC might add two to get more coverage and TV money. It will be interesting.

This will prove crazy as it would only alter the contract through the end of the current contract. Then all bets would be off
