OK-national emergency vs. personal emergency (job loss, long-term health issues)
We can live on very little as we have had 0 debt for 15+ years. However, I do not have several thousand dollars in cash stuffed in a mattress.
If I don't have to pay any utility bills because all electronic transactions are suspended, I guess my dependency rate is even lower. 🙂
However, depending on the nature of this 'national emergency' maybe I would not have any utilities anyway. Time to get a whole-house generator and start stuffing the mattress!
