was Oakland planning on spending a billion dollars for that infrastructure if
there is no stadium at the new site? Isn't there also land development thrown in?
It makes sense to deliberate a lot and study for a billion dollar decision.
Its not like its a new thing for pro sports franchises to rip off the taxpayers - Extort them to build a new stadium when the taxpayers are still paying the debt for the previous stadium. The owners have been doing that for the last 50 years, although some cities are wising up to them.
