I've read about wolf stats and how they are collected and publicized.

Attacks are not common, but the way they qualify the reports makes it almost impossible to actually list all the attacks. Plus even coyotes and black bears have attacked or killed people recently. And cougars. Wolves and coyotes operate in packs, which makes them scary in my mind.
