Hospice: what has been your experience?
The unfortunate aspect of aging is enduring family and friends who die. Some die unexpectedly and by virtue of modern medicine, some die more slowly. What experiences have you had with hospice?

I am without both parents, and one died in a hospice type situation and another died unexpectedly. My dear wife is going through the former. Despite having experienced with grandma, mom and others, it never gets easy.

Any useful hints or pieces of advice. Making the dying person enjoy the last of her life is my primary concern and supporting the family the next. Despite experiencing it all too often, I've probably seen about twenty to thirty go through that process, I don't have any great wisdom to share.
