Funny story about my grandpa on Hospice. They told him he had about 2-3 weeks
to live. I had just sold our business so I had some free time. My brother had just got home from his mission so he had some time as well. The doctors told my grandpa he had to stay in a facility unless he could arrange 24 hour care so he asked us to do it. My brother stayed there most of the time and then I would come over when he needed a break or whatever.

Anyway, one day (about 4 months later, haha) I show up and there is a lady there from Hospice playing the harp. My grandpa is asleep on his old recliner chair. I tell her she can leave because I am there now to stay with him. She goes on to tell me people love hearing the harp, especially when they are asleep because the reverberations of the strings decrease stress, anxiety, etc. So I lay down on the couch and fall asleep myself.

About 45 minutes later, she taps me on the shoulder to tell me she is leaving. I walk her to the door. As I walk back into the main room, my grandpa opens one eye and says "Is she gone yet?" He had been awake the entire time. As we were talking, he told me he hated the sound of the harp because it made him feel he was already dead and was totally haunting him so much he couldn't fall asleep so he sat there and pretended he was asleep to make the lady feel good.

I miss him so much sometimes.
