I will see my patients no matter when they show up. So I don’t have a hard no-show policy. But if they consistently show up late, it creates major problems for trying to stay on time. I pride myself on staying on time. It bothers me that so many docs consistently run way behind. If you are always 45 minutes late or more, you should change the way you do your schedule.

Now, every now and then I am behind. It is never due to being slow or lazy or checking my email or doing something stupid. It is 100% because somebody required more time for me to take care of them. I would do the same if it was you. So if I’m behind, please respect that. Also, try to be on time so that you don’t screw everybody else over.
