Many of you know, I run a non-profit service/leadership organization for high-school sophomores. It's called HOBY (Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership), I'm an unpaid volunteer... in fact, I donate quite a bit to the organization yearly.

This year, our funds were already a bit low due to not having a seminar last year (Covid). But... someone hacked into our bank account and stole $5,000. I told the bank what had happened, but they refused to reimburse the theft or really go to bat for us at all (MACU). Between that and Covid, we were in a huge bind.

I told CB what happened, honestly guys, I'm blown away by this board's generosity. Within the hour, I had three posters message me and offer large chunks of that missing $5,000. There are so many good people, honestly. This organization is about service and helping people who need it. Our ambassadors go on to do amazing things. The "backpacks for Africa" campaign... I know several of our ambassadors were heavily involved in that. In a year's time, each ambassador does 1,000 hours of community service. Several have started non-profits of their own and done great things in their communities. I'm inspired by their stories and they motivate me to give to this program yearly.

So sincerely, I am inspired by the generosity of this board and had to give a public thank you to these posters who helped out. We'll be able to run our seminar solely due to their donations, thank you for the help there.

If anyone else has an organization that can donate to a 501(c)(3), I would welcome and love the help. We can advertise for your organization at our seminar.

At this point, I've calculated the budget and with the CB donations, I have $100 leftover. Knowing how this goes, that actually means we're probably in the hole a bit (you always need a small cushion for unexpected events). So if anyone else is willing to help us out, the donations would be gratefully received. DM me for details.
