Never attended college or barely did. I am a big believer in education. I have a Masters. I think education helps people on average to contribute to society at a higher level.

That being said, I know several doctorate recipients who did it for self absorption and seemed too lazy/intimidated to go out and compete for work in the world economy.

One guy taught elementary school and required ten year old kids to call him “Doctor”.

I will also say that one of my career regrets is not getting my PhD in economics and becoming an Econ professor. It’s a career I would have loved.

The earlier shared YouTube of the individuals ranking iq’s was entertaining and made me think about intelligence and education.
