it would be a pain to dig up/replace a damaged line.

Temps get into 20's, but ground doesn't freeze. System does have a clean out

Not difficult at all. Water pools in problem areas. 5 minutes to locate

Yeah, but then you have to locate the precise spot, not just the general area.

Lines downstream not fed, grass browns. Only 5-10 minutes to locate, dig, fix.
