I have been an ardent supporter of independence in football and yet I completely

disagree with the conclusion that you’ve drawn. If the goal is making the playoff, this proposed 12 team playoff with the 6 highest ranked teams getting an auto berth, logically supports a move to a top rated G5 like the AAC. Is it ideal? No. I’d much prefer the Big 12 but if that isn’t in the cards, this gives us the best shot at a playoff spot. Heck it probably gives us a much better shot at making that playoff than P5 membership
