If you are from the Intermountain West, West Virginia has big hills
or VERY small mountains, maybe.
When you've been atop 11,000 foot (or more--and it can be way more) peaks, you find the peaks in the East to be underwhelming.
What ticked me off about summitting in the East was never getting above the mugginess/humidity. Who wants to be in a steam bath on the top of a mountain? I want the air to be dry and thin.
