As nearly perfect as BoTW was, I have three hopes for the sequel:
1. I liked the open world a lot, but with all the emphasis on shrines, I didn't feel like we got the traditional dungeon feel (puzzles, some wacky weapon that helps you beat the boss, etc.). I hope there is more of an emphasis on a couple of traditional Zelda dungeons. I didn't get that feel from the Divine Beasts.

2. The weapon system in BotW made fights feel a lot more like button mashing than a usual Zelda game. And I hated that the weapons broke. It was annoying to work hard to find/earn a weapon only for it to break in the middle of a boss battle.

3. More towns in the overworld. For as big and wide as the open world was, it felt like there was a whole lot of empty. I get that a lot of that was on purpose (making the world feel post-apocalyptic after the calamity), but it did mean a lot of cool rocks and trees and not a lot else. I hope that with a little bit of time between the games, maybe they would have rebuilt Hyrule a little.
