Blow up every tree. Every one you can. Get the logs and the fallen acorns. Acorns can be roasted fit some health healing, and each wood log can be cooked (yes, cooked in the cooking pot) to make Rocky Food. It heals a quarter heart.

In the first section alone there’s ballpark 45 tree logs I gathered. At a quarter heart each, it helped me heal 11 hearts. From just blowing up trees, not to mention what I got from the acorns
