The argument in that article is that BYU won't do it because they don't want to cement their status as second-fiddle to Utah.

And if that's the reason for making the decision (or really any decision) it's a poor choice. BYU should do what's best for them and not worry about what Utah is doing.

If BYU decides based on money, exposure, schedule, etc not to go to the MWC, that's perfectly legitimate in my mind
