Look at the win vs SMC at the MC on 2/27. His presence in the paint forced their big (Tass) to step away and take a lot of terrible mid-range shots (he shot 4 for 13 from 2). Their PG Kuhse also had a tough time operating in the paint and their overall offensive efficiency rating for that game was 78.5, very uncharachteristic for a Randy Bennett team.
Haarms had 6 blocks that game but altered a ton more shots and finished with a crazy low defensive efficiency rating of 59. Offensively Haarms was just ok hitting 4 of 10 shots and 3 of 5 FT's for 11 pts but defensively he changed the game.
There was a reason he was voted DPOY by other teams.
