exactly, most if not all renewables have close to ZERO contribution to
peak energy demand. Solar production in Arizona starts dropping like a rock around 4PM, which is when energy demand is INCREASING. Utilities need the ability to dispatch power (throttle up and down a power plant) to compensate for when renewables are intermittent.

The next 10-20 years are gonna be super interesting to see from a utility perspective...
