1. Indies say the AAC is boring because of the lower level G5 talent
BUT indies say we wont win the AAC championship.
2. Indies say the AAC is not our culture and too many East and south teams BUT independent schedules play several teams from the east and south. Bonus = AAC country is much more relevant in football and football culture vs most west coast teams aside from a few of the blue bloods in the PAC12, and even they are starting to become old and tarnished. I lived in Dallas and in Los Angeles. The football culture in Dallas and the south dwarfs LA and the west.
3. Indies say recruiting would drop, players want to play 2-3 legit P5s every year BUT they give no credit for players wanting to play for something come November. And somehow ignore the fact that players want to play for a spot at the new football equivalent of March Madness every year with the new playoffs. No bigger stage in college football than the playoffs from now on. Just wait, the new college playoffs will be so much better now. Just like basketball.
4. And then there is the obvious elephant in the room -> the real world chances of BYU winning a 12-0 or being nice 11-1 record. Beside a crazy pandemic year, when was the last time BYU had that record during independence? The answer is ZERO.
5. I'll leave this here:
