The more money Uncle Sam vomits towards higher education, the more higher education costs go up far in advance of that.
Higher education costs have outstripped inflation by leaps and bounds ever since the federal government has created the subsidies.
I'm not suggesting I know the answer. But what I do know is, the cost of attending a university is monumentally higher than it should be. Overhead costs, administration, even professors have become exorbitantly overpaid for what they are currently providing to society.
Currently academia is far more focused on obscure social justice issues than they are about STEM or any relevant topics that will set most people up for success in the real world.
Plus these institutions in many cases are sitting on Scrooge McDuck vaults of endowment money.
This is a representation of higher education as it stands in America.
