Committee is not perfect, but the process is much better. Involves P5 and some G5 voices. Doesn’t start needlessly until nearly 2 months in. Doesn’t involve random writers inflating their own team. Voters recuse themselves on their own programs. The committee rotates members more frequently. It could use more transparency, and I disagreed with their ranking of BYU last year, but overall it’s so much better than AP votes. But we like the AP (right now) cause they ranked BYU higher last year. Talk about bias.
