After BYU's glory years in the 1980's, and Ty's Heisman trophy winning season started out by beating #1 Miami and also beating #25 Wyoming and other good wins. . . Sadly the next 5 games post Heisman trophy were all opportunities for signature wins, and BYU got dismantled. in all 5 games.

Our 2 consensus All-Americans in 1990 then had less than stellar NFL careers after graduation. Reversing the trend of the previous 1980's All Americans, and after that BYU has averaged just 1 consensus All-American each decade since. Plus looking at BYU's end of season schedule and ranking we have yet to have a BCS busting type of season since 1996. . . Like honestly what season should BYU have actually made a BCS/NY6 bowl so far?
