you prefer. I lost 125 pounds eating keto and walking, hiking, playing pickleball, and lifting weights. I kept it off for a year.
Then came the knee pain, probably from overuse, because I kept pushing it even when it hurt. Eventually it got to the point where it hurt too much to do anything. Not being able to be active in the same ways did a number on me mentally, and in frustration I gave up on my dietary changes. That was a mistake, and I gained a lot of the weight back.
I recommitted to my diet and have lost 45 pounds since January, and my knee is holding up enough to let me do the activities I enjoy, just in smaller doses. I still have 25 pounds to lose to get where I want to be, and I'm moving in the right direction. But it would have been soooooo much better to maintain my dietary changes even when I couldn't exercise how I wanted to. It's much harder to lose the weight the second time.
