but if I'm comparing b-ball to other Olympic sports, I'd much rather be rooting for an unknown American to win a dramatic sprint or other Track & Field event, or Simone Biles to have an incredible Olympics, or a swimmer to come out of nowhere to get multiple medals...
Those are the things I really look for and root for at the Olympics. B-ball has always been something I'm just not as interested in... despite the talent involved. It feels like these famous, wealthy b-ball players are interfering with everything that the Olympics stands for - an amazing display of amateur athletes that wouldn't normally have a stage like this otherwise...
