I tend to discount the 70's for disco and a lot of schmaltzy crap. But then....

I remind myself that it was a big decade for bands like Led Zeppelin, The Who, Boston, Kansas, The Rolling Stones, The Police, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Talking Heads, The Cars, Dire Straits, Queen, Foreigner, AC/DC, Rush, Genesis, etc., etc., etc. I lean to the 80's but the 70's have a pretty solid argument, if you can ignore the fluff....
