Don't work for Amazon but we still have orders get delayed because of Covid.
We ship orders the day they are placed. When we have a shipment delayed covid is typically the reason passed to us by the carriers so that is the messaging we give our customer service team. I've been told the real reason is that carriers haven't been able to expand quickly enough to meet the demand from the increase in e-commerce that covid caused. If that is true then covid did cause the problem but it is still a very tired answer.
