Lack of regulation led to 2008. ‘Member?
You have to have some regulation or people will use market factors for their own benefit to the detriment of others and the whole. There is much data to support that regulation is needed even in free markets.

A better idea. Get government out of the way. Lessen the regulations and let market forces play their natural role.
