If the tooth really has had 2 root canals and has failed a 3rd time
I would probably recommend an extraction (hard to say definitively without knowing all the specifics).

You could request and endodontist to check it if you really want to see what prognosis they would give, but probably not very good.

As far as advantages of implant vs bridge:

Bridge can be completed quicker and is usually a bit cheaper, at least short-term. You might be looking at anywhere from a few weeks to a couple months for bridge depending on how much time they give for healing. Most implants, especially if the area is infected are going to require longer healing times between steps (Again, depending on specifics).

Disadvantage is the dentist will have to shave down both adjacent teeth, which can create more problems down the road. If these teeth are already compromised with large fillings or decay, then maybe the bridge makes more sense.

Implant may be more of a process, a bit more invasive procedure. You might need bone grafting or sinus procedures depending on specifics which can increase cost and timelines.

If bone is good, adjacent teeth are in good shape, I'd recommend an implant every time.
