In 2015 as a sophomore was 5th on the team in defensive points.
In 2016 and 2017 he as first in points including tackles because at middle linebacker the plays were funneled to him.
He showed his versatility and passing downs by being able to play rather than come out in favor of a nickel back or dime back. Somehow you see this as a negative but I can tell you that this is exactly what earned him the second round grade.
Every team wants a player that can play three or four downs and the exposure he received at BYU playing the position the way he was asked to play that BYU favored his being drafted and showcased his ability.
