There isn’t any such thing as a middle linebacker position. They all have responsibilities based on what they could do and the plays were funneled to Fred. That makes him in effect what you would call the middle linebacker.

The fact that you’re having trouble getting pressure with the DL makes it difficult to take your coverage guy out if you don’t have confidence that those guys will be able to get pressure with another person added

The bottom line is that the defense we were running is more designed to be like the TCU defenses and you just can’t do that with the personnel that we were handed. It takes a while to transition and during that transition some people have to grow and show their flexibility. That flexibility is what makes you a top draft choice. That is where Warner came in.

Bottom line is that bronco didn’t recruit a team to be a P5 caliber team therefore we were undermanned and when we tried to play big boy ball we had to make adjustments, we took lots of injuries because players were forced in before they were ready, After missions and early in their careers
