In this case, the P12's refusal to expand makes going West more attractive

Were BYU, Boise, SDSU & UNLV located east of the Rockies, they'd already be in Power conferences. So if you're only going to expand in one direction that would make the most sense. But UCF, Cincinnati, Memphis & Houston would be a nice group to build with as well.
