Not a great fit, but they'll want a presence in Texas and there's not a lot of options. Texas and Texas A&M are off the table. Houston is further away and has the stigma of being non-P5. So choosing between Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor, SMU, Houston? Makes Tech seem the obvious choice.

I don't think the Big10 will poach from the ACC because they have the pretty extreme Grant of Rights in the AAC. Think it ends up being Iowa St and Kansas.
