Those judgments happen throughout the game and players at least have a chance to adjust.

In sports like diving, or gymnastics, or even in the example I listed below in boxing, the result is not shown until after the event is completed.

I think that's why you will see in the poll above that swimming and track and field are by far the most popular.

Citius, altius, fortius, “faster, higher, stronger.” In the Olympics in particular, spectators want to know with their own eyes who is the fastest, who jumps the highest, who is the strongest.

I don't think of golf really as an Olympic sport, but the lowest score wins. Give me something objective and definitive any day over judgments that can be bought or pressured when it comes to Olympic competition.
