Some of my favorite memories as a kid in elementary school in north Texas revolve around the Texas-OU game.
We had a big assembly the Friday before the game each year and everyone picked a side, many wearing the colors of the teams they rooted for. This was the late 70s.
My favorite teacher was an OU grad, so you know who I picked in that fight. And have ever since.
It’s a great rivalry and both so throw their weight around. They’ll fit in the SEC just fine.
