Cuz that’s kinda what Simone did. She realized that if she continues she could’ve injured herself and robbed her team of a medal.
Simone like Alan realized that because of her mental health issues she was hurting the team more than helping if she continued.
But because we can see speed but can’t see mental health it’s labeled as quitting.
