I love the Cascade Saddle from Big Springs. Really diverse scenery, great payoff

at the top. You end up looking down through rock canyon at the tops of Squaw Peak and Y mountain with the lake beyond that. It's an all day hike, so if you're looking for something shorter it might not be a good choice.
