...because above when you were asking to consider the BoM as a work of literature if you don't actually believe in the religion, asking if it is a good book - and the first thought that came to me is that if you look at it as literature instead of religious text, it is basically Atlas Shrugged.

It's a book with a story you can follow but in which the story is often interrupted by characters giving long sermons on their beliefs. If you like the beliefs, chances of you liking the book increase significantly. But some people who even agree with the beliefs don't necessarily enjoy the story - though they like sections/parts of it.
