And we had the largest wrestling team in the state by more than double each school. Easily had 10-15 per weight class and often you had to cut during the season or move up a weight class just to get a chance to compete for the varsity spot

I won the sophomore and JV regional meets by usually wrestling at least 2 guys during the tournament from my own school along with guys from other schools in the region. My best friend and i wrestled for the JV region title, it was weird facing a teammate in that situation but very common for sophomore and junior regional tournaments
