Anyone have experience with this?
Our 17 year wanted to talk to us to today about going to see some Air Force folks jump off a plane. A day in the life of what they do. We told that it’s a little premature for us to drive 3 hours away and 3 hours back maybe more. Bay Area. Try to get him back to practice for football. This lead to well I don’t think I want to serve a mission. He’s struggling with his testimony. I believe he knows the church is true. Maybe we haven’t done a great job teaching him or not sure what else we could do. We sent him to a private catholic school to play football. He suffers from anxiety and depression and I don’t think the military is a good option for him. More importantly I want him to serve a mission. I mention that we love and want him to make good choices. The church has rules and things in place to keep us in a good path. Anyone has any kids that are going through this? I told him don’t worry about growing up so fast. Enjoy your last year. A career will come in time.
