Short term, yes. Long term...the Big 12 leftovers could center on Lubbock, Waco
and rural Kansas, Iowa, and West Virginia.
Whereas, the AAC boasts Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia, Orlando, Tampa, Memphis, New Orleans, and Cincinnati. Could be the better play to to add the best leftovers to a conference with a foot in a bunch of strong football markets.
