Those aren't snake holes.
Snakes can burrow through leaf cover, but can't dig through solid earth. Think about it; they have no claws to loosen soil or any way to push dirt and rocks behind them and out of the burrow.
Some other creature is digging those holes in your yard.

I hate snakes. My worst experience was when I was mowing my lawn and a stupid snake was laying there.
